Investing in South of France Properties

South of France is one of the more attractive European locations to invest in. The real estate here is much sought after by the who's-who as well as people from all walks of life. While the likes of Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise and David Beckham maintain homes in Southern France, savvy foreign investors are increasingly buying property here while some are moving to the South of France just for a better way of life. So what is the allure of Southern France that attracts property buyers from across the world?

Appreciation in value
Land is always a great investment, but exponentially so if you buy a home, farm or holiday villa in Southern France. While the prices of Southern France properties can understandably be a tad steep, the pay-off is the appreciation in property values, which can fetch you a tidy sum at resale time.

Great place to live in
Scenic beauty, Mediterranean climate, relaxed way of living - these are some of the many compelling reasons quoted by foreigners who have made South of France their home. The affordable costs of living and some good real estate bargains are other rationales that make Southern France an attractive European region for those contemplating a lifestyle change by relocating to a different country.

Great rental potential
Smart investors are increasingly buying holiday homes and villas in the South of France to rent them out to holidaymakers. The rental potential of Mougins villas and Cannes villas, for instance, is excellent.

Southern France destinations are popular holiday spots the world over. In fact holidaying in Cannes or St.Tropez is something that celebs and regular folk alike look forward to. Penny pinching is really not an option when you are looking to soak in the beauty of a Southern France destination (though there are cheaper accommodation options of course). As the owner of a holiday villa in Cannes, Cap D'Antibes or Mougins, you can confidently charge high rental rates.

As with any country, there are some procedures involved in real estate buying-and-selling on French shores as well but it is not all that complicated. This is yet another reason why real estate investors looking for profitable and hassle-free property transactions put South of France on their lists.
