March of the Green Algae in Brittany, France - Video report

We first reported on this problem in 2010 and it has come back with a vengeance in 2011.

For months, the coast of Brittany has been struggling to deal with a slew of green algae on its beaches, thought to be responsible for giving off deadly gases that have killed local animals and left one nearby resident hospitalised. The negative publicity has cost the area more than 800,000 euros in lost tourism over the summer, and now, the region is determined to fight back.

The Green Algae in Brittany is a major problem, and they need to tackle this issue now before it affects the 2012 tourist season.
