Alistair Campbell continues to defend the impossible; there were no weapons of Mass Destruction - he knew it, Blair knew it but they wanted to oust Saddam. As the control freaks at No 10, they needed "evidence" and leant on John Scarlett (what an appropriate name) to sex up the report. They knew it was illegal to wage war so they had to spin the WMD story to try and get UN & Westminster approval. Come on Alistair and Tony 'fess up; you are digging yourself a big hole (you could use the one Saddam was found in). You'll end up with a worse reputation than Saddam.We all know the truth. How can Blair live with his conscience - sending our troops and Iraqis to their death? Religious my arse!
